Does the Association recognise REBT courses?  
Yes. We recognise a number of UK and overseas courses as providing either eligibility for or working towards Accredited REBT status. We also recognise courses for the CPD of our members. The Trainers are Certified or Accredited REBT Trainers/supervisors. Information on this website and in our Rational News newsletters.

Do you have accredited REBT supervisors?
Yes. Contact the Hon Sec for details or click here for a list of supervisors. 

Does the Association provide counselling, therapy, coaching or hypnosis?
No. Only our members provide counselling, therapy or coaching. Some also provide rational emotive behaviour hypnotherapy. Check out their qualifications on the Therapist List.

Does the Association accredit coaches?
By Summer 2009 AREBT will launch a Rational Coaching or Rational Emotive Behavioural Coaching individual Coach Accreditation scheme.

Does the Association run training programmes?
The Association runs workshops and conferences for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of our members. It does not run long-term courses as this is provided by various recognised training institutions.

What is the CBT REGISTER UK?

On the 24th November, 2008, The Association for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy set up with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies a joint CBT Register UK of Accredited CBT & REBT Therapists. This will become the leading UK Register of Cognitive Behavioural and Rational Emotive Behavioural Psychotherapists.
